Course Review & Final Assessment

Introduction

This module teaches no new technique. It puts the course back together as one method, names the responsibilities that run through all of it, and prepares you for the Final Assessment.

The review matters more than it sounds. Eight modules can leave a learner with eight separate habits and no sense of how they connect — and the connection is the actual skill.

Someone who can name which part of the method a described failure came from can fix it. Someone who only remembers the parts cannot.

Module 9 reviews and prepares. It is not the Final Assessment itself, and it introduces no new topic.

The course as one method

Nine modules, one sequence. Read the steps in order and you have the method.

  • Decide what to delegate (Module 1) — should an assistant touch this at all?
  • Define the role (Module 2) — what is it for, and where does it stop?
  • Supply context (Module 3) — what must it be told, and what must it never hold?
  • Make it repeatable (Module 4) — what is the routine, and where is the check?
  • Bound its reach (Module 5) — what may it read, change, or do?
  • Choose the surface (Module 6) — is this safer typed or spoken?
  • Protect people (Module 7) — what is not mine to share or decide?
  • Assemble and refine (Module 8) — does the whole setup hold together?

Module 9 is the ninth step, and it is this one: can you tell which of the eight a problem came from? That is what the Final Assessment measures.

Responsibilities that never move

Four things stay with you regardless of how good the assistant is, how well the setup is written, or how many times it has been right before.

You grant the authority → you supply and limit the context → you verify in proportion to risk → you own the decision and its outcome.

Every failure this course describes is one of these four being skipped — usually the third, and usually because the previous fifty results were fine.

What the Final Assessment is

A separate, scored step — not a checkpoint, and not a tenth module.

  • Purpose — checkpoints reinforce while you learn; the Final Assessment confirms the method transferred.
  • Scoring — checkpoints are unscored; the Final Assessment is scored.
  • Retries — checkpoints are unlimited; Final Assessment retakes follow the approved policy.

Scenario-based throughout: you will be shown situations and asked which part of the method applies, what went wrong, or what a responsible person does next — not asked to recall definitions. The question bank, the number of questions, the pass threshold, the retake policy and any certificate wiring are decided separately and are not set here.

Your own weakest link. Read the eight-step method above and mark the step you are least confident about, then re-read that module's boundary section — it states exactly what the module teaches and what it defers, which is usually enough to locate the gap.

Take one real task you have coming up and walk it through all eight steps in order, writing one line per step.

Course review

Module 9 reviews and prepares for the Final Assessment. It teaches no new technique, so there is no hands-on practice here that Modules 1 to 8 have not already covered — inventing one would mean inventing new curriculum in a review module.

Re-read the boundary section of whichever module you marked as your weakest link. Each one states plainly what that module teaches and what it deliberately leaves to another, which is usually enough to tell whether your gap is a genuine misunderstanding or simply a part of the method you have not used yet.
